RCV Virtual Forum by the Chamber of Commerce

More than 545,000 Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) ballots have been cast in MN since 2009 when Minneapolis began using RCV. RCV has been used in Minneapolis, St. Paul and St. Louis Park, and was most recently adopted by Bloomington and Minnetonka voters in the 2020 election. Each of these five cities will use RCV this fall in their mayoral/city council elections.

Join us online as the Chamber of Commerce hosts this forum to learn more about the basics of RCV, how it changes the dynamics of races, and benefits and challenges to moving toward increased use of RCV in the Twin Cities.

Panelists are Jeanne Massey, Executive Director of FairVote MN, Larry Jacobs, Director of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the U of M, and Ginny Gelms, Elections Manager for Hennepin County. Moderator is Brian McClung, Co-CEO and Senior Principal at Park Street Public.
