Ranked Choice Voting and Local Primary Elections: A Presentation

  • Penn Lake Library Conference Room 8800 Penn Avenue South Bloomington, MN, 55431 United States (map)

Bloomington has a Primary Election for city council and mayor on Aug. 13 - if it's like other local primaries, fewer than 5% of voters will show up and narrow down the field of candidates for the November general election, when more people vote.

Join us to learn about Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) and how we can bring this more economical, inclusive voting system to Bloomington. Experience how RCV works by ranking your preferences for books to read - Fiction or Nonfiction? Mystery or Romance? Science Fiction or Thrillers? You choose your own ranking and see what comes out the majority winner. Bring your Bloomington friends and neighbors!
